Associated Hebrew Schools
Associated, a large three-campus private Jewish day school in Toronto, was experiencing financial challenges that clearly necessitated the creation of an annual campaign. An existing Friends campaign was languishing and its rote-based operation was generating less that $40,000 annually.
We developed a three-year strategic approach for the creation, implementation and operation of an Annual Campaign. In meetings with lay and professional stakeholders we helped garner the buy-in that would lay the foundation for developing a culture of giving, We created the identity for the campaign, developed the support collateral, wrote and developed the direct mail campaigns, developed the canvasser support programs and materials and supported lay committees in the development and implementation of the Annual Campaign.
Associated's Kadima campaign raised over $180,000 in its first year and saw that number rise by almost 25% to over $220,000 in year two. It attracted a number of new donors to the school and prompted the school's leadership to provide greater attention to its fundraising efforts and provide the resources for a much more sophisticated approach to development.
